This is a description of some of our favorite things to do here on one of the world’s most beautiful islands. We take pride in assisting you with arrangements during your stay with us!

Spend a day touring the island discovering whimsical and wonderful art.  From the ferry landing the first stop should be Crow Valley Pottery, a quaint art shop, with a store also in Eastsound Village, featuring outdoor art, water colors, jewelry, glass and pottery.

Drive through a verdant old growth forest to Orcas Island Pottery, to discover a charming property decorated with beautiful ceramic art.  Frequently you will be able to observe a potter at work. The glazes and pottery design is first rate! While there, take in the splendid views of the water and distant islands.  Near Eastsound the Howe Art Gallery is not to be missed (Open June-Sept.) with enchanting kinetic metal sculptures hanging from the trees and filling a field near the artist's studio.

Take a tour of The Lambiel Museum, a discerning private collection of works by renowned artists of the Islands, and experience one man's abiding passion.  "It is a serious and ever growing representative body of fine work inspired by the islands."  Be sure to call ahead for an appointment.

Drive through Moran State Park  to "The Artworks" in Olga, an art cooperative with hand crafted clothing, wool, wood carvings, bowls, bird houses, glass, jewelry, water colors and much more created by talented island artists.

Beautiful Moran state park (the fourth largest in Washington) has 50 miles of hiking trails and one of the ten best marine views in the world from the top of Mt. Constitution.  You will rarely pass other walkers on the trails around Cascade Lake and Mountain Lake.  For the very energetic, hike to the top of Mt. Constitution or bike a few of the trails open to mountain cyclists.

We have safe and exciting ocean kayaking and wild life cruises from late spring to early fall with frequent sightings of the three fabulous orca whale pods usually in groups of 20-80. There are also sightings of bald eagles, Dall's porpoise, and stellar sea lions, just to name some of the wild life attractions.

Have a picnic, swim in the lakes or fish, stroll the beautiful park trails, read a book, or soak in our hot tub. We hope you enjoy Orcas Island as much as we do.
